Okay…I am taking a personal finance class and we’re discussing financail goals ect. I want to have a family some day and wonder what my estimated savings should be for a new addition?

Does having a baby cost more than kids? Does it tapper off and then peak back up at teen level?

What is a good estimiate for fist year of life expenseses…let’s assume not going overboard and crazy on furniture ect…but, what’s a reasonable ammount to save?

How do I be confident enough to not care what my mom thinks and feel good in what I wear.

I buy beautiful clothes at the thrift store. I only will purchase the good quality stuff not
the crap. And I have tons of summer and winter clothes all in great shape. However,
about two weeks ago I reorganized my bedroom closet, and my dresser drawers and
secretly donated three things. My mom has her own closet in her bedroom, however, we
share the den closet. What I mean by sharing we put the clothes in the den closet we wont
wear until the season is upon us. However, she always yells at me and tells me that I take
up to much of the den closet. So now I am getting anxious am I going to be able to
switch my clothes and have enough room in both the den and my bedroom.

And another thing I am getting anxious about. I went into the den closet due to the fact I
had purchased awhile ago two knit jackets (outerwear type jackets) that can only be worn
in the fall months and it is now winter. I tried both on tonight and decided to give one
away – I did not like it, but I hid it under my bed and will give it away when my mom is
not home.

I am a grown woman who shares an apartment with my mom. But I always feel like I am
second guessing myself around my mom. When we fight she will put down the thrift store
saying the clothes are old, ugly. Also last week she read in the paper an editorial that used
clothes and furniture can bring in bedbugs – she told me about that. However, she told me
that she expected me to tell her that I did not care about the editorial. We had a fight. But
then to make up to me she will say how about we go to thrift store – well actully I go and
she goes to the supermarket next door. And she said she is not putting down the thrift
store. Also it is only from December 2007 until now that I have been buying in the thrift
store and I like it but I was always taught to buy in department stores.. My mom is from
the depression era.

So even thou I went thru all my clothes last week and made sure the ones I am keeping is
in good shape, I want to go thru them again and do the same thing and reorganize my
closet even more to make it easier for me when I switch closets.

Assume you are a visiting nurse for a long-term care facility. The facility is a private home licensed to care for ambulatory patients who do not require extensive medical care. You visit the facility to check blood pressures, check feet, administer medication, and otherwise check the general health of residents. On one of your visits you learn that the facility’s owner accepts valuable gifts from residents, such as jewelry, antique furniture, and handmade quilts.

I’m trying to buy lemon oil to care for furniture, but I can’t find it anywhere in the Scotland. I need real lemon oil, not normal furniture polish or the like. It’s to care for rosewood. Does anyone have any idea, apart from online stores, where I can buy some? Do any of the major chains have it?
