I have a bedroom that is 10 ft x 10 ft. Does anyone know of any bedroom sets that are functional for me and will keep the room more open? I need a desk, a twin bed, a nightstand, a dresser. Those basics need to fit, and I can’t seem to find anything. Help!

By the way, I’m into darker furniture, but don’t really care about the style/design

Friend told me yesterday about the property she just vacated on 6/1. The rented all winter. Went there yesterday to learn they had pet pigs that ate and destroyed all the furniture. They also care for three terminally ill foster kids and didn’t clean up after them when they were ill.

Do you think I should go for a cheap dresser for the baby nursery, where it won’t matter if it gets battered and colored on and chewed and all the other abuse kids put on it, and we would just replace it after a few years when they’re more mature and will take better care of their stuff (hopefully)…

Or do you think I should spend a few hundred and get a nicer, more durable one, knowing that if it gets battered, we will all just have to live with it for years and years and years?

I know I can just look on Craiglist for a used but quality piece of furniture for cheaper. It’s just hard to find something made by a good brand, with the right look – you have to look at exactly the right time on Craigslist.

What do you think is the most realistic option? Other ideas?

We just had a mold problem taken care of. What steps do we have to take now? Do we have to wash floors, walls, furniture, vacuume everything etc?
I guess I mean, the area that had the mold was a small 10×10 room, when it was cleaned up, they taped plastic over the door, and fogged the room after, so, even though it was taped off, do we have to thouroughly clean walls, ceiling, floors, and all surfaces, in the other parts of the basement?
we also had the furnace vents/ducts cleaned professionally afterwards.

I am looking for a spray cleaner to clean my room.
I want it to be useful for not only my furniture but for the exterior surfaces of my stuff (jewelry box, perfume bottles, etc). I also, want it to smell good. Which one do you recommend.

Also, any wipes/towels great for this type of task that you like or use let me know.

Here is the deal I am moving from Florida to Chicago on February 15th and have been looking into getting new furniture as I don’t want to have to make that drive all the way up there. I have looked at Ikea and West Elm, and prefer a bed from West Elm because it has 6 draws underneath. I have heard mixed things about both and I am asking for an honest opinion. I don’t want this furniture to last forever, I am only in my 20′s. As long as it will stand after about 5 years I will be happy.

PS- I am a very clean, neat, organized person who takes amazing care of their stuff. Literally I am like Monica from Friends, I vacuum the vacuum.
