Well we just moved about 6 months ago and my cat Hurriciane never used to scratch on the couch, but in this new house I can’t get him to stop! He’s 2 1/2 and neutered(I don’t know if that would have anything to do with it or not)
So my question is how can I teach him to use his scratching post instead of the couch? Or even just to stop scratching the furniture! I don’t really care if he uses the scratching post!

So what can I do?
I don’t want to get him declawed if I don’t absolutely have to!

We have a scratching post! I wouldn’t be asking how to teach him to use it if I didn’t already have one!
